
Psychiatrist - Inpatient Services
We are seeking a talented and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our Inpatient Services team at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). The ideal candidate for this role will have a passion for providing high-quality care to children and adolescents, a dedication to patient advocacy, and expertise in addressing mental health issues.You will be responsible for delivering evidence-based inpatient psychiatric care in a safe and caring environment. You will work closely with the interdisciplinary team to develop treatment plans, educate families, and monitor patients’ progress and response to treatment. As a Psychiatrist, you will also provide consultation services to medical and other clinical staff in the assessment and treatment of mental health issues.The ideal candidate must possess a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited institution, and must be board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry (MD or DO). Preference will be given to candidates who have additional board certification or fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. You must have a valid medical license in the state of Pennsylvania. Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based psychiatric care in a safe and caring environment.
- Develop treatment plans, educate families, and monitor patients’ progress and response to treatment.
- Provide consultation services to medical and other clinical staff in the assessment and treatment of mental health issues.
- Maintain a valid medical license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Stay informed of current developments in psychiatry, mental health, and child and adolescent psychiatry.
- Foster a positive team environment with interdisciplinary staff.
- Adhere to the rules and regulations set forth by the hospital, state, and federal laws.
- Ensure patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and other improvement initiatives.
- Ensure patient safety by following the hospital’s safety protocols.
Excellent Interpersonal And Communication Skills
Board-Certified Or Board-Eligible In General Psychiatry
Licensed To Practice Medicine In The State Of Pennsylvania
Demonstrated Experience Providing Inpatient Psychiatric Care To Children And Adolescents
Experience In Psychiatric Assessment
Diagnosis
