
Polysomnography Technologist
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is looking for an experienced, dedicated Polysomnography Technologist to join our world-class team. Our team is dedicated to providing the highest standard of care for children in our facility. As a Polysomnography Technologist, you will assist in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders for pediatric patients. Your comprehensive knowledge of advanced sleep monitoring systems and your commitment to providing the best care possible will be essential in this role.The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree in Polysomnography and be registered with the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT). We are looking for someone with excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a compassionate and patient demeanor. Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate polysomnography equipment to record and measure sleep-related information.
- Interpret and analyze polysomnographic data to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders.
- Develop patient care plans and provide patient education on sleep disorder management.
- Assist with technical and administrative operations within the polysomnography lab.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively and maintain a professional demeanor with patients, families, and other healthcare staff.
- Adhere to all applicable safety regulations and quality standards.
- Ensure proper maintenance and repair of polysomnography equipment.
- Monitor patient progress and changes in condition.
- Maintain professional certification and continuing education requirements.
