
Physician Assistant - Progressive Care Unit

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is currently seeking a Physician Assistant for our Progressive Care Unit. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and exemplify CHOP’s commitment to providing outstanding care.The successful candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies and three or more years of experience working in a pediatric setting. You must have a current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of Pennsylvania and also be certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Responsibilities:
- Provide medical care to pediatric patients in our Progressive Care Unit.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic illnesses in children.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Educate patients and families on medical conditions and treatments.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of patient visits.
- Monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatments accordingly.
- Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and families.
- Remain up-to-date on the latest medical treatments and technologies.
