Job Description

Are you an experienced and patient-focused Physician Assistant with a passion for working with children? The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is currently seeking a Physician Assistant for our Progressive Care Unit. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and exemplify CHOP’s commitment to providing outstanding care.The successful candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies and three or more years of experience working in a pediatric setting. You must have a current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of Pennsylvania and also be certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, are essential for success in this role.If you are an experienced Physician Assistant who is eager to make an impact in the lives of children, then we invite you to apply to join the team at CHOP.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide medical care to pediatric patients in our Progressive Care Unit.
  2. Assess, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic illnesses in children.
  3. Develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
  4. Educate patients and families on medical conditions and treatments.
  5. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  6. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  7. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of patient visits.
  8. Monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatments accordingly.
  9. Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and families.
  10. Remain up-to-date on the latest medical treatments and technologies.
