  1. Provide compassionate and high-quality care to pediatric patients in the critical care unit.
  2. Collaborate with the medical team to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
  3. Conduct physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications as needed.
  4. Monitor and assess patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
  5. Educate patients and their families on their medical conditions and treatment options.
  6. Maintain accurate and thorough medical records and documentation.
  7. Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in pediatric critical care.
  8. Act as a resource and mentor for other medical staff, including residents and nurses.
  9. Adhere to hospital policies and protocols to ensure a safe and effective work environment.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the advancement of medical care at CHOP.
  11. Maintain professional relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
  12. Demonstrate empathy, sensitivity, and respect towards patients and their families.
  13. Attend meetings and conferences to stay informed on hospital and industry developments.
  14. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development.
  16. Act as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs are met and concerns are addressed.
  17. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and visitors.
  18. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients.
  19. Uphold the mission and values of CHOP in all aspects of the job.
  20. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing CHOP and the pediatric critical care team.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Physician Assistant Studies From An Accredited Program.

  • Certification From The National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants (Nccpa).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Physician Assistant In A Pediatric Critical Care Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Pediatric Critical Care Procedures And Treatments.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills To Work Effectively With A Multidisciplinary Team And Interact With Pediatric Patients And Their Families.
