- Provide high-quality medical care to young patients with gastrointestinal conditions under the supervision of a physician.
- Collaborate with physicians and other medical staff to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
- Conduct physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications as needed.
- Monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families on their conditions and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Keep abreast of advancements and changes in the field of pediatric gastroenterology.
- Participate in clinical research and assist with data collection and analysis.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards of conduct.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Attend continuing education and training programs as required.
- Act as a positive representative of CHOP and promote its mission and values.
Graduate Degree From An Accredited Physician Assistant Program
Current Certification From The National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants (Nccpa)
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Physician Assistant In A Hospital Setting, Preferably In Gastroenterology
Strong Knowledge Of Inpatient Gastroenterology Procedures And Protocols
Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team And Provide Quality Patient Care In A Fast-Paced Environment.
