- Provide exceptional medical care to pediatric patients in the field of gastroenterology.
- Work closely with world-renowned physicians to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
- Conduct physical exams, diagnose illnesses, and prescribe appropriate medications.
- Perform procedures such as endoscopies and biopsies under the supervision of a physician.
- Monitor and assess patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on proper care and management of their conditions.
- Communicate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
- Stay up-to-date on current medical practices and procedures in the field of gastroenterology.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to improve patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
- Attend and participate in meetings, conferences, and trainings as required.
- Provide guidance and support to medical assistants and other staff.
- Uphold the mission and values of Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in all aspects of the job.
Master's Degree In Physician Assistant Studies From An Accredited Program.
Current Certification By The National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants (Nccpa).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Physician Assistant In An Inpatient Gi Setting.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Pediatric Gastrointestinal Diseases And Treatments.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Healthcare Team Members And Communicate Effectively With Pediatric Patients And Their Families.
