Job Description

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is looking for an experienced and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our Emergency Department. We are seeking an individual who is committed to providing the highest quality of care to our pediatric patients and families. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pediatrics, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to excellence.The successful candidate will possess at least 3 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in an emergency setting, along with a Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies, and a current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). We are also looking for someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of EMR systems and pediatric emergency medicine are preferred.We welcome applicants who are passionate and committed to providing the best care to our patients and families. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide quality care to pediatric patients and their families in the Emergency Department.
  2. Utilize EMR systems to document patient information in a timely and efficient manner.
  3. Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  4. Follow established protocols and guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric patients.
  5. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
  6. Collaborate effectively with the team of healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the highest quality of care.
  7. Maintain a current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  8. Review and analyze patient medical histories, lab results, and other diagnostic information.
  9. Provide education and counseling to patients and families on health issues, treatment plans, and preventive care.
  10. Demonstrate a commitment to excellence and patient safety at all times.
