- Manage a team of healthcare professionals, including physician assistants, nurses, and support staff, to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient operations.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, including setting performance goals, providing feedback, and conducting regular evaluations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including physicians and specialists, to develop and implement treatment plans for pediatric patients.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the quality of patient care, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Oversee the scheduling and coordination of patient appointments, procedures, and surgeries, ensuring timely and efficient care delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards, including those set by governing bodies and CHOP policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain relationships with patients and their families, addressing any concerns or issues they may have and ensuring their satisfaction with the care provided.
- Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and training of new team members, and provide ongoing education and development opportunities for existing staff.
- Collaborate with CHOP leadership to develop and implement strategic goals and initiatives, contributing to the overall success and growth of the organization.
- Stay current with advancements and changes in pediatric medicine, and incorporate new practices and technologies into patient care as appropriate.
- Serve as a role model for professionalism, compassion, and excellence in patient care, promoting a positive and supportive work environment for all team members.
- Act as a liaison between the healthcare team and CHOP administration, providing regular updates on patient care, team performance, and any issues or concerns that arise.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience As A Physician Assistant In A Pediatric Setting, With Proven Clinical Expertise In Managing Complex Medical Cases.
Current Certification As A Physician Assistant From The National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants (Nccpa).
Strong Leadership Skills, Including Experience In Managing A Team Of Healthcare Professionals And Implementing Quality Improvement Initiatives.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Physicians, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Staff.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Pediatric Healthcare Policies And Regulations, As Well As Experience With Electronic Medical Records And Clinical Documentation.
