We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatrician to join our team at the Behavioral Health and Crisis Center. Our center provides crucial support and care for children and adolescents struggling with mental health issues and crisis situations.   1. Provide comprehensive medical care for children and adolescents in the Behavioral Health and Crisis Center.
  2. Conduct thorough evaluations and diagnose mental health conditions in pediatric patients.
  3. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, including medication management and therapy.
  4. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals to ensure coordinated and effective care for patients.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  6. Monitor and assess patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients.
  8. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with developments in the field of pediatric mental health.
  9. Serve as an advocate for children and their families, promoting awareness and understanding of mental health issues.
  10. Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and patience in working with young patients and their families.
  11. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as ethical and legal standards related to patient care.
  12. Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration among colleagues.
  13. Serve as a mentor and resource for other healthcare professionals, including medical students and residents.
  14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of care and patient outcomes.
  15. Represent the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Behavioral Health and Crisis Center in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree: A Pediatrician At A Behavioral Health And Crisis Center Should Have A Medical Degree From An Accredited Medical School. This Degree Should Be Specifically In Pediatrics And Include A Minimum Of Three Years Of Residency Training.

  • Board Certification: The Ideal Candidate Should Be Board Certified In Pediatrics, With Additional Certification In Behavioral Health Or Psychiatry. This Ensures That The Pediatrician Has Met The Highest Standards Of Knowledge And Expertise In The Field.

  • Experience In Behavioral Health: The Pediatrician Should Have Prior Experience In Diagnosing And Treating Behavioral Health Disorders In Children And Adolescents. This Could Include Experience In A Pediatric Behavioral Health Setting Or A Fellowship In Pediatric Behavioral Health.

  • Crisis Intervention Skills: As Part Of A Crisis Center, The Pediatrician Should Have Experience In Managing And Treating Patients In A Crisis Situation. This Includes The Ability To Quickly Assess And Stabilize A Patient In A Mental Health Crisis.

  • Communication And Empathy: Effective Communication And Empathy Are Crucial Skills For A Pediatrician At A Crisis Center. The Candidate Should Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Children, Adolescents, And Their Families, And Demonstrate Empathy And Understanding For Their Unique Situations.
