Job Description

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our Wound Team. As part of this specialized team, you will provide comprehensive, family-centered care for pediatric patients in the Philadelphia area. Your expertise in wound care and patient-focused care will be essential in this role.We are looking for someone with a strong background in pediatric nursing and wound care, who is committed to providing the highest quality of care. Our ideal candidate should have a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree with a specialty in pediatric nursing, and at least three years of experience in a pediatric setting. You must also have current certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) in the state of Pennsylvania. We invite you to join our Wound Team and help us deliver the best care possible for our pediatric patients.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assess pediatric patients and develop individualized plans of care
  2. Provide comprehensive, family-centered wound care for pediatric patients
  3. Perform routine physical examinations on pediatric patients
  4. Prescribe medications and treatments as necessary
  5. Educate patients and families on wound care management and prevention
  6. Consult with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care for patients
  7. Document patient care and progress in the medical record
  8. Participate in research projects and clinical trials related to wound care and pediatric nursing
  9. Provide support and guidance to colleagues and trainees in the pediatric care setting
