Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join the team at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). This individual will have the extraordinary opportunity to provide comprehensive, family-centered care to pediatric patients and their families. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem solver and a highly motivated professional with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.The successful candidate must have a Master’s degree in Nursing and be certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. The ideal candidate will also have a minimum of three years of experience in a pediatric setting, preferably in an acute care hospital. In addition, the candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.If you have the qualifications and passion necessary to provide quality, compassionate care to pediatric patients and their families, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide comprehensive, family-centered care to pediatric patients and their families.
  2. Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  3. Provide education to patients and their families regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
  4. Coordinate and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate care and ensure seamless patient experience.
  5. Monitor patient progress and modify care plans as needed.
  6. Utilize evidence-based practice guidelines to make clinical decisions.
  7. Maintain patient medical records and documentation.
  8. Respond to patient calls and emails in a timely manner.
  9. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
  10. Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and hospital policies.
