  1. Supervise and manage a team of Pathologist Assistants, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  2. Oversee the daily operations of the Pathology laboratory, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of samples and timely delivery of results.
  3. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards related to laboratory operations.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including Pathologists and laboratory staff, to ensure optimal patient care.
  5. Utilize cutting-edge technology and techniques to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric patients.
  6. Monitor and maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and equipment.
  7. Develop and implement standard operating procedures and protocols for the Pathology laboratory.
  8. Conduct quality control and assurance measures to ensure accurate and timely results.
  9. Provide guidance and support to Pathologist Assistants, including reviewing and interpreting test results and troubleshooting technical issues.
  10. Stay informed on advancements and changes in the field of pathology and ensure the laboratory is utilizing the most current practices.
  11. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, communication, and professional development.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Pathology Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience As A Pathologist Assistant, With At Least 2 Years In A Supervisory Role.

  • Board Certification As A Pathologists' Assistant (Pa) Through The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp).

  • Strong Understanding Of Laboratory Protocols, Procedures, And Safety Regulations.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Train And Mentor Junior Pathologist Assistants.
