- Assist the orthodontists with preparing and setting up treatment rooms for appointments
- Greet and welcome patients and their families, creating a warm and friendly environment
- Review and update patient medical records and ensure all necessary information is accurate and up to date
- Take and record patient's vital signs, including blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with patient intake and provide support during initial consultations and exams
- Prepare and sterilize orthodontic instruments and equipment
- Assist the orthodontist with procedures such as taking X-rays, placing braces, and adjusting appliances
- Educate patients and their families on proper oral care techniques and post-treatment care instructions
- Monitor patients during procedures and alert the orthodontist of any concerns or complications
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, and place orders as needed
- Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective patient care
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and trainings to stay updated on new techniques and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
Completion Of An Accredited Orthodontic Assistant Program
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Experience Working As An Orthodontic Assistant
Knowledge Of Orthodontic Procedures, Techniques, And Instruments
Familiarity With Electronic Health Records And Patient Scheduling Systems
Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team And Provide Excellent Patient Care
