Ophthalmology Technician

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Ophthalmology Technician to join our team. This individual must be dedicated to providing excellent patient care and have a deep understanding of ophthalmology. The successful candidate must have an eye for detail and excellent communication skills to ensure an exceptional patient experience.The ideal candidate for this position will possess a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as an Ophthalmology Technician, as well as a certification from an accredited Ophthalmology program. They must be comfortable working with children and exhibit a positive and professional attitude in all interactions. We are looking for an individual who is a team player and is able to provide exceptional service to our patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide exceptional patient care in the Ophthalmology department.
2. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all data is up to date.
3. Obtain vital signs and perform ophthalmic tests per physician orders.
4. Educate patients and their families regarding ophthalmic care and treatments.
5. Ensure a positive and professional attitude in all interactions with patients, families, and staff.
6. Assist with the scheduling of appointments and follow up visits.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.
8. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
9. Actively participate in team meetings and provide suggestions for improvement.
10. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal standards.
