
Nurse Practitioner- Thyroid Program
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is looking for an experienced and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our Thyroid Program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and families and a commitment to providing the highest quality of care. We are looking for an individual who is organized, patient-focused, and knowledgeable about thyroid conditions.The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing care to children with thyroid disorders, including diagnosing and treating conditions, ordering and interpreting tests, and coordinating care with other providers. The successful candidate will also provide education to families and collaborate with members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible care for our patients.To be considered for this position, candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, a Master's in Nursing or a related field, and be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Pennsylvania with an active and unrestricted license. Additionally, candidates must have at least 5 years of experience working in pediatric endocrinology, preferably in a hospital setting. Knowledge of thyroid-related conditions and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat thyroid disorders in children.
- Order and interpret tests to evaluate thyroid status.
- Provide education to families about thyroid-related conditions.
- Coordinate care with other members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain a valid and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Demonstrate knowledge of thyroid-related conditions.
- Work independently and collaboratively with other medical professionals.
- Utilize electronic medical records to maintain patient records.
- Participate in research and quality improvement activities.
- Provide compassionate care to patients and families.
