Job Description

The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is seeking an experienced and passionate Nurse Practitioner to join our Medical NICU Team. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide life-saving care to the smallest and most vulnerable patients in our hospital. We are looking for someone with a deep commitment to providing excellent care and creating a positive environment for our patients and their families.The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in a pediatric setting, and a current license to practice in Pennsylvania. A Master’s Degree in Nursing is preferred. The Nurse Practitioner must have excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of the complexities of neonatal care. A successful candidate will have the ability to quickly develop relationships with the medical team and families of our patients. The selected candidate will be a part of an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals working together to provide superior patient care.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide life-saving care to neonatal patients
  2. Develop relationships with medical professionals and families
  3. Interpret and evaluate patient conditions and recommend appropriate interventions
  4. Monitor and adjust treatments, medications, and therapies
  5. Perform physical assessments and diagnostic tests
  6. Educate patients, families, and staff on neonatal care
  7. Follow all hospital policies and procedures
  8. Collaborate with other healthcare staff to ensure quality patient care
  9. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
  10. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations
