
Nurse Practitioner- Medical NICU Team
The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is seeking an experienced and passionate Nurse Practitioner to join our Medical NICU Team. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide life-saving care to the smallest and most vulnerable patients in our hospital. We are looking for someone with a deep commitment to providing excellent care and creating a positive environment for our patients and their families.The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in a pediatric setting, and a current license to practice in Pennsylvania. A Master’s Degree in Nursing is preferred. The Nurse Practitioner must have excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of the complexities of neonatal care. A successful candidate will have the ability to quickly develop relationships with the medical team and families of our patients. The selected candidate will be a part of an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals working together to provide superior patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide life-saving care to neonatal patients
- Develop relationships with medical professionals and families
- Interpret and evaluate patient conditions and recommend appropriate interventions
- Monitor and adjust treatments, medications, and therapies
- Perform physical assessments and diagnostic tests
- Educate patients, families, and staff on neonatal care
- Follow all hospital policies and procedures
- Collaborate with other healthcare staff to ensure quality patient care
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations
Current State Registered Nurse (Rn) License
Advanced Practice Nursing (Apn) Certification
National Certification In Neonatal Nursing (Nnp
Rnc-Nic
Or Ccrn-Neonatal)
Master's Degree In Nursing Or Higher
At Least One Year Of Experience In The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Nicu)
