
Nurse Practitioner - Inpatient Adolescent Unit
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our Inpatient Adolescent Unit team. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent clinical skills and a commitment to providing quality care to our adolescent patients. The successful candidate will be an active member of a multidisciplinary team and will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure a comprehensive and patient-centered approach to care.The ideal candidate must have a Master's Degree in Nursing, a valid and unrestricted RN and APRN license in the state of Pennsylvania, and board certification as an Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). In addition, the Nurse Practitioner must have at least three years of experience in Inpatient Pediatrics, Adolescent Medicine, or a related medical field.If you have a passion for working with adolescents and a commitment to providing exceptional care, we invite you to join our team and make a positive impact on our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to adolescents in an inpatient setting, including assessments, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic health conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of patients.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure a comprehensive and patient-centered approach to care.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and medications.
- Monitor and adjust medications according to patient response and laboratory results.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient care and plan discharge plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as hospital policies and procedures.
Excellent Communication
Master's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Program
Knowledge Of Electronic Medical Record Systems
Active And Unencumbered Nurse Practitioner License
