- Provide specialized care to pediatric patients with musculoskeletal conditions.
- Collaborate with the orthopedic surgery team to assess and develop treatment plans for patients.
- Conduct physical examinations and order diagnostic tests.
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
- Monitor and record patient progress and update treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on proper care and management of their conditions.
- Assist in surgical procedures and post-operative care.
- Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and other medical professionals.
- Stay updated on current research and advancements in pediatric orthopedics.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as ethical and legal standards.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care.
- Participate in departmental meetings and trainings.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for other healthcare professionals.
- Uphold a high level of professionalism and compassion in all interactions with patients and their families.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the orthopedic surgery team.
Master's Or Doctoral Degree In Nursing With A Specialization In Orthopedic Surgery Or Related Field.
Current Licensure As A Nurse Practitioner In The State Of Pennsylvania.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Nurse Practitioner In A Pediatric Orthopedic Setting.
Certification From A Recognized National Nursing Certification Board, Such As The American Nurses Credentialing Center (Ancc) Or Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (Pncb).
Proficiency In Performing Orthopedic Exams, Interpreting Imaging Studies, And Providing Comprehensive Treatment Plans For Pediatric Patients With Orthopedic Conditions.
