
Nurse Manager - NICU

- Oversee the daily operations of the NICU, including staffing, scheduling, and budget management.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of nurses and support staff, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Ensure high quality and evidence-based care is delivered to patients, in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to improve patient outcomes and overall unit performance.
- Review and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement action plans accordingly.
- Serve as a liaison between the NICU staff and other departments within the hospital, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain accreditation for the NICU.
- Participate in performance evaluations, hiring, and disciplinary actions for staff members.
- Facilitate ongoing education and professional development opportunities for staff to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Act as a role model for professional behavior and uphold ethical standards in all interactions with patients, families, and staff.
- Collaborate with other nurse managers and hospital leaders to promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Foster a patient and family-centered care approach and promote family involvement in care planning.
Current Rn License In The State Of Pennsylvania
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Neonatal Nursing, With At Least 2 Years In A Leadership Or Management Role
Knowledge Of Nicu Policies, Procedures, And Best Practices
