
Neurodiagnostic Specialist

- Perform neurodiagnostic tests and procedures, including EEGs, EMGs, and nerve conduction studies, on pediatric patients in an accurate and timely manner.
- Monitor patients during procedures and promptly report any abnormalities or concerns to the appropriate medical staff.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all tests performed, including patient information, test results, and any relevant observations.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans based on test results.
- Educate patients and their families about the procedures being performed, including potential risks and benefits.
- Ensure all equipment and supplies are properly maintained and functioning, and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Stay current with advancements in neurodiagnostic technology and techniques, and make recommendations for improvement or implementation.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as relevant safety and infection control protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a compassionate and supportive attitude towards patients and their families.
- Participate in departmental meetings, trainings, and continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by communicating effectively and respectfully with colleagues and superiors.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the department manager or medical director.
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Neurophysiology, Neuroscience, Or Biology.
Certification As A Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R. Eeg T.) Or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (Rpsgt) Through The American Board Of Registration Of Electroencephalographic And Evoked Potential Technologists (Abret).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Performing And Interpreting Neurodiagnostic Tests, Including Eegs, Evoked Potentials, And Sleep Studies.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Pediatric Neurophysiology, Including Normal And Abnormal Development Of The Brain And Nervous System.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Pediatric Patients And Their Families.
