
Music Therapist
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is seeking an experienced and compassionate Music Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your expertise in music to improve the lives of patients and families in a unique and rewarding setting. We are looking for an individual with an exceptional level of commitment to the care of our patients and families and the ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Music Therapy, be board-certified, and have at least two years of experience working in a pediatric or healthcare setting. Additionally, it is essential that you have a deep understanding of the therapeutic use of music, excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be committed to providing the highest quality of care to our patients and families.
Responsibilities:
- Provide music therapy services to patients and families using a variety of techniques and approaches.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and objectives in collaboration with other interdisciplinary team members.
- Create and implement activities and interventions that address physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of patients and families.
- Facilitate therapeutic groups and individual sessions with patients and families.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans accordingly.
- Document patient progress and interventions.
- Maintain accurate records of patient care, including statistical and narrative notes.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and provide input to other team members.
- Identify patient and family needs and provide guidance and support.
- Maintain a professional working relationship with patients, families, and hospital staff.
Ability
Bachelor's Degree In Music Therapy
Certified By The Certification Board For Music Therapists
Minimum Of Two Years Experience In A Pediatric Setting
Ability To Effectively Interact With Pediatric Patients And Parents
Knowledge Of A Variety Of Music Therapy Assessment Tools
