
Medical Staff Affairs Credentialing
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is looking for an experienced and comprehensive Medical Staff Affairs Credentialing Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high quality care while ensuring patient safety and satisfaction. The Medical Staff Affairs Credentialing Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of all activities related to the credentialing and privileging of new and existing providers.To be successful in this role, we require a minimum of three years of recent experience in medical staff affairs credentialing in a complex healthcare system. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be detail oriented and have knowledge of regulatory requirements. Knowledge of National Committee for Quality Assurance, The Joint Commission, and State Licensure requirements is also highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Implement credentialing and privileging standards and processes in accordance with established regulations and guidelines.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of credentialing and privileging applications.
- Maintain up-to-date files on all providers.
- Monitor and ensure all provider credentials are renewed in a timely manner.
- Facilitate the verification process of all provider applications.
- Monitor and provide reports on provider credentialing and privileging activities.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with providers, departmental staff, hospital leadership, and other external organizations.
- Ensure compliance with National Committee for Quality Assurance, The Joint Commission, and State Licensure requirements.
- Provide expertise, guidance, and support to providers and departmental staff.
- Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to credentialing and privileging.
