Job Description

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Manager of Patient Financial Services to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing leadership for the Patient Financial Services Department while ensuring that all financial and customer service expectations are met or exceeded. The ideal candidate for this role has a thorough understanding of healthcare finance and insurance, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. Required Qualifications:• Bachelor's Degree in a related field• Five years of experience in a healthcare financial role, preferably in a hospital setting• Proven track record of successful customer service• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Ability to effectively manage and motivate a team• Ability to work independently and collaboratively• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the Patient Financial Services Department and ensure all financial and customer service goals are met.
  2. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
  3. Monitor and evaluate the performance of the department to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  4. Ensure the accuracy of all financial information and records.
  5. Develop and implement strategies to improve customer service.
  6. Train and mentor staff on customer service and financial policies.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
  8. Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely manner.
  9. Monitor and maintain department budgets.
  10. Manage and motivate team members to ensure productivity.
