  1. Develop and implement educational programs for patients in various age groups and with different learning needs.
  2. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to create personalized learning plans for patients.
  3. Assess patient's learning needs and provide individualized support and resources.
  4. Utilize educational techniques and materials appropriate for each patient's age, abilities, and medical conditions.
  5. Create a positive and welcoming learning environment for patients and their families.
  6. Provide educational support to patients during their hospital stay and follow-up care.
  7. Communicate with patients' schools and teachers to ensure a smooth transition back to the classroom.
  8. Educate and train hospital staff on educational techniques and strategies for working with pediatric patients.
  9. Stay up-to-date on the latest research and educational practices in the field of child development and education.
  10. Advocate for patients' educational needs and collaborate with community resources to provide ongoing support.
  11. Maintain accurate and organized records of patient progress and educational interventions.
  12. Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families during difficult or challenging learning situations.
  13. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as ethical and legal standards in education.
  14. Continuously evaluate and assess the effectiveness of educational programs and make necessary adjustments.
  15. Serve as a positive role model for patients, demonstrating empathy, compassion, and a passion for learning.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Education, Special Education, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience Working With Children With Learning Disabilities Or Developmental Delays.

  • Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Teaching And Learning Strategies For Children With Diverse Learning Needs.

  • Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills To Work With Families, Educators, And Healthcare Professionals.

  • Understanding Of Federal And State Laws Related To Special Education, Such As Idea And Ada, And Experience With The Individualized Education Program (Iep) Process.
