
Learning Specialist

The Learning Specialist will be responsible for providing direct instruction and guidance to patients and families in order to optimize learning potential. This position requires an individual who is patient, organized, and able to develop positive relationships with patients and their families. Responsibilities for the Learning Specialist at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia include: • Develop positive relationships with patients and their families. • Provide direct instruction and guidance to patients and families to optimize learning potential. • Monitor patient progress and adjust instruction as needed. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized learning plans. • Implement evidence-based strategies to help patients understand and retain information. • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of each patient. • Develop and maintain a supportive learning environment. • Assist with scheduling of patient appointments and follow-up visits. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. • Participate in professional development activities to stay current in educational trends and best practices.
