Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement nutrition programs and services for pediatric patients, in collaboration with the nutrition team
  • Conduct nutrition assessments and provide individualized nutrition recommendations for patients based on their medical conditions and dietary needs
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients
  • Supervise and mentor a team of dietetic technicians, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks and professional development
  • Ensure that all nutrition services are delivered in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation of nutrition services provided
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care plans
  • Stay informed about current research and advancements in pediatric nutrition and incorporate into practice as appropriate
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives related to nutrition services
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on nutrition-related topics, such as healthy eating habits and disease management
  • Serve as a resource and liaison for patients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding nutrition services at the hospital.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team And Effectively Educate Patients And Families On Nutrition-Related Topics.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or A Related Field.

  • Certification As A Registered Dietetic Technician (Dtr) Through The Commission On Dietetic Registration (Cdr).

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience As A Dietetic Technician, Preferably In A Pediatric Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Pediatric Nutrition And Ability To Develop And Implement Appropriate Meal Plans For Patients With Complex Medical Conditions.
