
Lead Dietetic Technician

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement nutrition programs and services for pediatric patients, in collaboration with the nutrition team
- Conduct nutrition assessments and provide individualized nutrition recommendations for patients based on their medical conditions and dietary needs
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients
- Supervise and mentor a team of dietetic technicians, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks and professional development
- Ensure that all nutrition services are delivered in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation of nutrition services provided
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care plans
- Stay informed about current research and advancements in pediatric nutrition and incorporate into practice as appropriate
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives related to nutrition services
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on nutrition-related topics, such as healthy eating habits and disease management
- Serve as a resource and liaison for patients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding nutrition services at the hospital.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team And Effectively Educate Patients And Families On Nutrition-Related Topics.
Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or A Related Field.
Certification As A Registered Dietetic Technician (Dtr) Through The Commission On Dietetic Registration (Cdr).
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience As A Dietetic Technician, Preferably In A Pediatric Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Pediatric Nutrition And Ability To Develop And Implement Appropriate Meal Plans For Patients With Complex Medical Conditions.
