- Perform interventional radiology procedures on pediatric patients, utilizing specialized equipment and techniques, under the direction of a physician.
- Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any changes in their condition or vital signs.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures, including patient history, consent forms, and imaging results.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to determine the most effective imaging techniques for each patient.
- Ensure the proper functioning and cleanliness of equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Educate patients and their families about the procedures and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
- Follow all hospital protocols and safety measures to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements and best practices in interventional radiology and attend relevant training and educational opportunities.
- Demonstrate compassion and empathy towards pediatric patients and their families, and maintain a child-friendly and supportive environment during procedures.
Bachelor's Degree In Radiologic Technology Or Related Field.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team Environment.
Current Certification By The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) In Interventional Radiology.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Pediatric Interventional Radiology Setting.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Pediatric Anatomy And Physiology.
