The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is currently seeking an Information Services Intern to join our team. This is an ideal role for someone with a passion for technology and a desire to help CHOP provide the highest quality of care to our patients.This position requires excellent problem-solving skills, a strong technical aptitude, and the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and patients. Our ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as computer science or information systems, and some relevant experience working with technology. Working knowledge of healthcare IT systems and processes is a plus. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical support to CHOP colleagues and patients
  2. Develop strategies for improving the effectiveness of healthcare IT systems
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by colleagues and patients
  4. Assist with system administration tasks, such as software and hardware installation and configuration
  5. Monitor the performance of IT systems and identify any potential issues
  6. Test new software and hardware to ensure compatibility with existing systems
  7. Provide training and support to colleagues on the use of IT systems
  8. Keep up to date with the latest technology trends and best practices
  9. Assist with the development and maintenance of IT policies and procedures
  10. Maintain accurate records of IT activities
