
Infection Prevention Observer

In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our patients, families, and staff. - Conduct regular and systematic observations of patient care areas and identify potential infection risks
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure adherence to infection prevention protocols and guidelines
- Monitor and report on compliance with hand hygiene, personal protective equipment, and environmental cleaning practices
- Educate and train staff on proper infection control procedures and protocols
- Conduct audits and investigations as needed to identify and address potential infection control issues
- Stay up-to-date on the latest infection control practices and guidelines, and make recommendations for improvements as needed
- Communicate any infection control concerns or issues to the appropriate personnel and follow up to ensure resolution
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of infection control activities
- Participate in the development and implementation of infection control policies and procedures
- Assist with the preparation and response to potential outbreaks or infectious disease incidents
- Work closely with other members of the infection control team to promote a culture of safety and infection prevention throughout the hospital.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing, Public Health, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Infection Prevention And Control In A Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge Of Cdc Guidelines And Best Practices For Preventing And Controlling Infections.
Certification In Infection Control (Cic) Preferred.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Educate And Train Staff On Infection Prevention Protocols.
