Job Description

The Home Care Patient Access Coordinator at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is an integral role in our patient care team. This position requires excellent communication, organization, and problem solving skills, and an unwavering commitment to providing outstanding patient care. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about creating a patient-centered environment and is excited to be a part of a dynamic and innovative team. The successful candidate should have experience in working in the healthcare setting, preferably in a healthcare access or patient service role. The ideal candidate will possess the following: • An associate’s degree in healthcare, business, or a related field • A minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare office setting • Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-10 coding • Excellent customer service skills • Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize • Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsIf you have the qualifications we are looking for and are passionate about providing the best patient care possible, we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Greeting and welcoming patients to the hospital.

• Collecting and verifying patient information.

• Handling patient inquiries and scheduling patient appointments.

• Coordinating with other departments and personnel to ensure patient care needs are met.

• Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.

• Assisting with insurance authorization and verification.

• Assisting with patient billing and collections.

• Creating and managing patient files.

• Ensuring patient complaints are addressed in a timely and professional manner.

• Developing and maintaining relationships with patients and other healthcare providers.

• Providing excellent customer service.

• Staying up to date with changes in healthcare regulations and policies.
