As the manager, you will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to families facing genetic disorders in the realm of neurology. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of genetic counselors and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve the lives of our young patients.   1. Lead a team of genetic counselors and provide guidance and support to ensure quality care for patients and families facing genetic disorders in the realm of neurology.
  2. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for patients.
  3. Stay updated on the latest advancements and research in neurogenetics to provide the most up-to-date and evidence-based care.
  4. Develop and implement policies and protocols for genetic counseling services within the neurology department.
  5. Oversee the scheduling and coordination of genetic counseling appointments to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
  6. Train and mentor new genetic counselors to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
  7. Serve as a resource for families and assist them in understanding their genetic disorder and its implications.
  8. Build and maintain positive relationships with patients and families, providing emotional support and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  9. Collaborate with the hospital's marketing and outreach team to promote the genetic counseling services offered by the neurology department.
  10. Monitor and evaluate the performance of the genetic counseling team, providing feedback and implementing improvements as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Genetic Counseling From An Accredited Program.

  • Certification As A Genetic Counselor From The American Board Of Genetic Counseling.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Genetic Counseling, With A Focus On Neurology.

  • Previous Managerial Experience, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Current Research And Advancements In Genetic Counseling And Neurology, As Well As Regulations And Standards Related To Genetic Testing And Counseling.
