We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Food Service Worker to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our patients receive nutritious and delicious meals during their stay.   1. Prepare and serve nutritious meals to young patients in accordance with hospital policies and dietary restrictions.
  2. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including kitchen and dining areas, to ensure the safety and sanitation of food.
  3. Communicate with patients and their families to understand their dietary needs and preferences, and accommodate any special requests.
  4. Collaborate with the nutrition team to ensure all meals meet the necessary nutritional standards and guidelines.
  5. Monitor food inventory and place orders as needed to ensure an adequate supply of ingredients and supplies.
  6. Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to maintain food safety and prevent foodborne illnesses.
  7. Assist with food preparation and cooking, including chopping, slicing, and cooking under the direction of the chef or head cook.
  8. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations, to maintain patient confidentiality.
  9. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, responding to any inquiries or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  10. Attend staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on food service policies and procedures.
  11. Participate in special events or projects, such as holiday meal planning and preparation, to enhance the patient experience.
  12. Maintain a positive and respectful attitude towards patients, families, and coworkers, promoting a welcoming and inclusive environment.
  13. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the appropriate supervisor.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and suggest ways to enhance the food service experience for patients.
  15. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including safety and infection control protocols, to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
