
Family and Visitor Services Coordinator
As the Family and Visitor Services Coordinator at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), you will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to families and visitors of our young patients. - Coordinate and oversee all aspects of family and visitor services at CHOP, including but not limited to, check-in procedures, parking arrangements, and visitor guidelines.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all family and visitor inquiries, ensuring prompt and compassionate responses to their needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with families and visitors, providing a welcoming and supportive environment for them during their time at CHOP.
- Collaborate with other hospital departments to ensure that all family and visitor services are aligned with the overall mission and goals of CHOP.
- Train and supervise a team of volunteers and staff members who assist with family and visitor services, ensuring that they provide exceptional and consistent support to all individuals.
- Manage the scheduling and maintenance of family and visitor areas, including waiting rooms and playrooms, to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all.
- Plan and coordinate special events and activities for families and visitors, such as holiday celebrations or support groups, to promote a sense of community and support.
- Maintain accurate records of family and visitor interactions and feedback, and use this information to continuously improve and enhance services.
- Stay up-to-date on hospital policies, procedures, and resources to effectively address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by families and visitors.
- Participate in relevant hospital committees and meetings to represent the needs and perspectives of families and visitors, and advocate for their best interests.
Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Healthcare Administration, Hospitality, Or Customer Service.
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Pediatric Setting.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Diverse Groups Of Individuals Including Patients, Families, And Hospital Staff.
Knowledge Of Hospital Policies And Procedures, As Well As Understanding Of Patient And Family Needs In A Healthcare Setting.
Ability To Multitask And Prioritize Tasks In A Fast-Paced Environment, While Maintaining A High Level Of Professionalism And Empathy Towards Patients And Families.
