Job Description

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Dietetic Technician to join our Clinical Nutrition team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality nutrition services to our patients in a clinical setting.   1. Provide high-quality nutrition services to pediatric patients and their families in a clinical setting.
  2. Work collaboratively with the clinical nutrition team to develop individualized nutrition plans for patients based on their medical conditions and dietary needs.
  3. Conduct nutrition assessments and monitor patients' progress to ensure proper nutrition and growth.
  4. Educate patients and their families on proper nutrition and dietary habits, including meal planning and food selection.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
  6. Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines related to nutrition services.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient care, including nutrition assessments, progress notes, and education provided.
  8. Participate in and contribute to departmental meetings, trainings, and projects as assigned.
  9. Stay current on the latest developments and research in the field of pediatric nutrition.
  10. Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor towards patients and their families.
  11. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for patients and staff.
  12. Follow ethical and legal standards in all aspects of job performance.
  13. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Nutrition Manager or other supervisory personnel.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Dietetics, Nutrition, Or Related Field.

  • Certified Dietetic Technician (Cdt) Credential From The Commission On Dietetic Registration (Cdr).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Nutrition Setting, Preferably In A Pediatric Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Medical Nutrition Therapy And Ability To Develop Individualized Nutrition Plans For Patients.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team And Effectively Educate Patients And Families On Nutrition-Related Topics.
