
Dietetic Technician

The Dietetic Technician at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is a vital role in providing nutritional care to our young patients. We are looking for an energetic and patient-focused individual who is ready to join our team and make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families. To be considered for this position, applicants must possess at least an Associate Degree in Dietetics or a related field, and have a minimum of two years of experience in nutrition care, preferably in a healthcare facility. Candidates must also be certified as a Registered Dietetic Technician (RDT) or eligible to become certified. The Dietetic Technician will be responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date nutrition care to patients, while also serving as a resource for families and health care providers. Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and up-to-date nutrition care for patients, including assessment of nutritional status and development of nutrition plans.
- Evaluate patient progress and response to nutrition care.
- Educate and counsel patients and their families on nutrition and dietary management.
- Develop and maintain patient nutrition care plans.
- Monitor and document patient progress throughout the course of care.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for patients.
- Serve as a resource to families and health care providers on nutrition care.
- Participate in research projects and committees related to nutrition care.
- Assist in the development and implementation of nutrition education materials.
- Maintain current knowledge of dietary guidelines and nutrition trends.
