Job Description

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Critical Care Paramedic. The ideal candidate for this position will possess an in-depth knowledge of pediatric critical care transport, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively with other healthcare professionals. The Critical Care Paramedic will be responsible for providing safe, high-quality, and compassionate care for critically ill and injured pediatric patients. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to excellence, a positive attitude, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers. We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide safe and compassionate care for critically ill and injured pediatric patients.
  2. Follow established protocols and procedures for pediatric critical care transport.
  3. Monitor patient condition and vital signs during transport.
  4. Establish and maintain effective communication with patients and family members.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care.
  6. Ensure that all medical equipment and supplies required for transport are available and in working order.
  7. Document all patient care activities in accordance with established standards.
  8. Maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times.
  9. Participate in continuing education activities to stay up to date with current best practices.
  10. Comply with all safety and regulatory requirements.
