  1. Conduct regular safety inspections of all construction sites at the hospital, ensuring that all safety protocols and procedures are being followed.
  2. Identify potential safety hazards and make recommendations for corrective actions to be taken.
  3. Review and approve construction plans and designs to ensure they are in compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  4. Collaborate with construction project managers and contractors to ensure that safety measures are implemented and maintained throughout the duration of the project.
  5. Train and educate hospital staff on safety procedures and protocols, including emergency response plans.
  6. Conduct safety training sessions for construction workers and contractors working on hospital premises.
  7. Monitor and enforce safety compliance, including the use of personal protective equipment, proper storage of materials, and adherence to safety regulations.
  8. Investigate any safety incidents or accidents that occur on construction sites and provide detailed reports to hospital management.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry safety standards and regulations and make recommendations for updates to hospital policies and procedures.
  10. Work closely with hospital leadership to promote a culture of safety and continuously improve safety practices throughout the organization.
  11. Communicate and collaborate with external safety organizations and agencies to ensure the hospital is in compliance with all safety regulations.
  12. Act as a liaison between hospital management and construction contractors to address any safety concerns or issues that may arise during construction projects.
  13. Conduct regular audits and inspections of hospital facilities to ensure ongoing safety compliance.
  14. Serve as a role model for safety by consistently following and promoting safe practices in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Safety And Health Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Construction Safety, Preferably In A Hospital Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Osha Regulations And Other Relevant Safety Codes And Standards.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Communicate With Construction Personnel, Hospital Staff, And Regulatory Agencies.

  • Certification As A Construction Health And Safety Technician (Chst) Or Occupational Health And Safety Technician (Ohst) Is Preferred.
