  1. Provide expert nursing care to pediatric patients in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  2. Assist with the development and implementation of evidence-based care plans for patients.
  3. Conduct thorough patient assessments and communicate any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  4. Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.
  5. Serve as a resource and mentor to new nursing staff, providing guidance and support.
  6. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects to enhance patient outcomes.
  7. Maintain accurate and organized patient records and documentation.
  8. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  9. Stay current on advancements and best practices in pediatric nursing through continuing education and professional development opportunities.
  10. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
  11. Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and patience in all interactions with patients and their families.
  12. Foster a positive and welcoming environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
  13. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of patient care.
  14. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and provide input on patient care plans.
  15. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and abide by HIPAA regulations.
  16. Assist with the orientation and training of new clinical nurse specialist fellows.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Nursing With A Specialization In Clinical Nurse Specialist Or Advanced Practice Nursing.

  • Current And Active Certification As A Clinical Nurse Specialist Through A Nationally Recognized Certifying Body.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Clinical Nurse Specialist In A Pediatric Setting.

  • Strong Clinical Knowledge And Expertise In A Specific Pediatric Specialty Area (E.g. Oncology, Neurology, Critical Care).

  • Excellent Communication, Collaboration, And Leadership Skills To Facilitate Interdisciplinary Team Collaboration And Mentorship For Other Nursing Staff.
