Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Clinical Lab Assistant to join our Central Labs team at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a rapidly growing, vibrant and compassionate hospital setting.The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tasks and services related to clinical testing. They will collaborate with the medical team to ensure quality testing and accurate results. Responsibilities:

  1. Perform a variety of laboratory tasks and services related to clinical testing.
  2. Collaborate with the medical team to ensure quality testing and accurate results.
  3. Maintain detailed records of test results and laboratory activities.
  4. Follow laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
  5. Prepare specimens for analysis and perform tests as requested.
  6. Monitor laboratory equipment and troubleshoot any technical problems that may arise.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  8. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  9. Respond to inquiries from staff and provide customer service.
  10. Assist in training new staff members.
