Job Description

As a Clinical Lab Assistant for our Central Lab Services, you will play a vital role in our mission by supporting our laboratory team in performing a variety of laboratory procedures and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.   1. Assist in performing a variety of laboratory procedures, including but not limited to specimen processing, sample preparation, and sample analysis.
  2. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of laboratory processes.
  3. Follow laboratory safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for all staff and patients.
  4. Communicate effectively with laboratory team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
  5. Adhere to all quality control and quality assurance guidelines to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  6. Handle and dispose of hazardous materials and waste according to established protocols.
  7. Keep accurate records of all laboratory activities, including sample information, test results, and maintenance logs.
  8. Assist in inventory management, including ordering and stocking of laboratory supplies.
  9. Continuously develop knowledge and skills through ongoing training and education to perform laboratory procedures accurately and efficiently.
  10. Demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients and their families, maintaining a child-friendly environment at all times.
  11. Collaborate with other departments within the hospital to ensure seamless patient care.
  12. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines.
  13. Act as a positive representative of the hospital, promoting our mission and values to patients, families, and the community.
  14. Maintain a professional demeanor and display excellent communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues.
  15. Willingly take on additional responsibilities and tasks as needed to support the team and the hospital's mission.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.

  • Completion Of A Certified Clinical Lab Assistant Program.

  • At Least 1 Year Of Experience Working In A Clinical Laboratory Setting.

  • Familiarity With Laboratory Equipment And Procedures, Including Specimen Collection And Processing.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment And Handle Multiple Tasks Simultaneously, While Maintaining Accuracy And Attention To Detail.
