
Clinical Lab Assistant

- Perform laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently under the direction of a medical technologist or supervisor
- Prepare samples for testing and ensure proper labeling and storage
- Maintain laboratory equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Keep detailed records of tests performed and results obtained
- Communicate effectively with medical staff and other team members to ensure timely and accurate processing of samples
- Assist in inventory management, ordering supplies, and keeping track of expiration dates
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory standards
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with laboratory techniques and advancements
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families by answering questions and addressing concerns in a professional and caring manner
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science Or A Related Field
Certification As A Medical Laboratory Technician Or Clinical Laboratory Assistant
Previous Experience In A Clinical Laboratory Setting, Preferably In A Pediatric Hospital
Familiarity With Laboratory Equipment And Procedures, Including Specimen Collection And Handling
