- Lead and manage the Clinical Care Research Team in the Critical Care Medicine department at CHOP.
- Develop and implement research protocols and projects in collaboration with the CCM team.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations and guidelines related to clinical research, including IRB protocols and informed consent processes.
- Oversee the recruitment and training of research staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out their roles effectively.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of ongoing research studies, providing guidance and support to team members as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments and research teams within CHOP to support interdisciplinary research initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of research data and ensure proper storage and confidentiality measures are in place.
- Analyze research data and present findings to relevant stakeholders, including physicians, researchers, and hospital administration.
- Stay current on advancements in pediatric healthcare and research, identifying opportunities for collaboration and growth within the CCM department.
- Foster a culture of open communication, collaboration, and continuous learning within the research team.
- Participate in developing and managing the CCM department's research budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Serve as a point of contact for external partners and collaborators, representing CHOP's values and mission in all interactions.
- Promote a safe and inclusive work environment for all team members, adhering to CHOP's policies and procedures at all times.
- Adhere to the highest ethical standards in all research activities and ensure the team follows all ethical guidelines and regulations.
- Support the dissemination of research findings through publications, presentations, and other channels, contributing to the advancement of pediatric healthcare on a national and global scale.
Advanced Degree In Critical Care Medicine: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree With Specialization In Critical Care Medicine. This Will Ensure That The Manager Has A Thorough Understanding Of The Field And Can Effectively Lead The Team.
Previous Management Experience: The Clinical Care Research Team Manager Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Managing A Team In A Critical Care Setting. This Will Demonstrate Their Ability To Handle Complex Situations, Lead A Team And Make Sound Decisions Under Pressure.
Strong Leadership Skills: The Manager Should Have Excellent Leadership Skills To Effectively Motivate And Guide The Team. This Includes The Ability To Communicate Effectively, Delegate Tasks, And Lead By Example.
Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements: The Manager Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Regulatory Requirements For Clinical Research In Critical Care Medicine. This Includes Knowledge Of Ethical Guidelines, Good Clinical Practice (Gcp) Guidelines, And Other Relevant Regulations.
