
Child Activity Coordinator

- Plan and coordinate daily activities and events for pediatric patients in the hospital, taking into consideration their age, medical condition, and interests.
- Develop and implement creative and engaging activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development of pediatric patients.
- Collaborate with hospital staff and volunteers to organize special events, such as holiday celebrations and themed parties, to enhance the hospital experience for pediatric patients.
- Build positive and supportive relationships with pediatric patients and their families, providing encouragement and emotional support during their hospital stay.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all pediatric patients, adhering to hospital policies and procedures at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of activities and attendance, and provide reports to hospital management as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital staff to promote awareness of available activities and encourage participation.
- Source and manage supplies and resources needed for activities, staying within budget guidelines.
- Collaborate with community organizations and volunteers to provide additional resources and activities for pediatric patients.
- Continuously evaluate and improve activities and programs to meet the changing needs of pediatric patients and improve their hospital experience.
Bachelor's Degree In Child Development, Education, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working With Children In A Healthcare Or Educational Setting.
Knowledge Of Child Development Theories And Best Practices For Engaging Children In Activities.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work With Children Of All Ages And Their Families.
Cpr And First Aid Certification, Or Willingness To Obtain It Within The First 90 Days Of Employment.
