  1. Provide exceptional occupational therapy services to pediatric patients at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
  2. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each patient.
  3. Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques to help children improve their physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities.
  4. Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to determine the specific needs of each patient.
  5. Collaborate with parents and caregivers to ensure carryover of therapy techniques in the home environment.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of treatment sessions and progress of patients.
  7. Continuously evaluate and modify treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal progress.
  8. Stay up-to-date on current trends, research, and best practices in pediatric occupational therapy.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  10. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of practice.
  11. Assist in providing a safe and supportive environment for patients and their families.
  12. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  13. Foster a positive and compassionate atmosphere for patients and their families.
  14. Maintain confidentiality and respect patient privacy at all times.
  15. Support and promote the mission and values of The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Job Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree In Occupational Therapy Assistant Program: A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree From An Accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program Is Required For This Position.

  • Certification From The National Board For Certification In Occupational Therapy (Nbcot): The Candidate Must Be A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Through The Nbcot To Be Considered For This Position.

  • Pediatric Experience: The Ideal Candidate Will Have Experience Working With Pediatric Patients, Either Through Clinical Rotations Or Previous Work Experience.

  • Knowledge Of Pediatric Conditions And Treatments: A Strong Understanding Of Pediatric Conditions And Treatments Related To Occupational Therapy Is Necessary For This Position.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Children, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals Is Essential For A Successful Certified Ot Assistant At Children's Hospital Of Philadelphia.
