Job Description

At Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, we are seeking an experienced, certified medical assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position will be passionate about providing exceptional healthcare services to children and have the qualifications and skills needed to do so. We are looking for an individual who has a strong work ethic, is highly organized, and is able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. The certified medical assistant will be a part of a team of healthcare professionals who provide compassionate, comprehensive care to our patients and families. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who wants to make a real difference in the lives of children.The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and have obtained certification as a medical assistant from an accredited institution. They should have prior experience working in a pediatric healthcare setting and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, electronic medical records, and laboratory information systems. Additionally, the individual should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as exceptional problem-solving and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities of a Certified Medical Assistant at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia:

  1. Provide exceptional healthcare services to children in line with organizational standards and best practices.
  2. Maintain organization and cleanliness in the workplace, including the medical equipment, supplies, and patient's records.
  3. Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient information and records in the electronic medical records system.
  4. Assist in laboratory procedures and ensure that all tests are performed accurately and efficiently.
  5. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
  6. Maintain a high level of professionalism and courtesy when interacting with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  7. Remain up-to-date on all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
  8. Maintain confidentiality and privacy of patient information and records.
  9. Participate in training sessions and workshops to stay abreast of the latest medical advances and technologies.
  10. Follow safety protocols and adhere to all health and safety regulations.
