
Building Maintenance Technician

- Conduct routine maintenance and repair tasks for all buildings within the hospital campus, including but not limited to HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Respond to work orders and requests in a timely manner, prioritizing urgent maintenance needs and ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Utilize a variety of hand and power tools to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, and perform repairs as needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks on all hospital equipment and systems, ensuring they are functioning properly and meeting safety standards.
- Coordinate with other departments and staff to schedule and complete maintenance projects, minimizing disruptions to hospital operations.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work, including completed tasks, materials used, and work hours, and report any major issues or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Monitor and inspect the hospital buildings regularly, identifying potential hazards or safety concerns and taking necessary actions to address them.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations, in order to maintain a safe and compliant environment.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to stay current on industry standards and best practices, and to continuously improve technical skills.
- Foster a positive working relationship with other staff members and departments, and promote a teamwork-oriented environment to ensure the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Building Maintenance Or Related Field
Knowledge Of Hvac, Plumbing, Electrical Systems, And General Building Maintenance Techniques
Ability To Read And Interpret Technical Manuals And Blueprints
Strong Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With A Focus On Safety And Attention To Detail
