  1. Conduct bioinformatics analyses of complex datasets to support research projects and clinical initiatives.
  2. Collaborate with researchers and clinicians to identify and prioritize key research questions and data analysis needs.
  3. Develop and implement bioinformatics pipelines and tools to analyze genomic and transcriptomic data.
  4. Stay current with advancements in bioinformatics and apply new techniques and methods to improve data analysis and interpretation.
  5. Utilize cutting-edge technology and techniques to identify potential biomarkers for pediatric diseases and conditions.
  6. Work closely with other members of the research team to integrate bioinformatics findings into broader research projects.
  7. Communicate results and findings to a diverse audience, including researchers, clinicians, and non-technical stakeholders.
  8. Maintain accurate and organized records of all analyses and methods used.
  9. Contribute to grant proposals and publications to secure funding and disseminate research findings.
  10. Mentor and train junior bioinformatics staff and students.
  11. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines for data management and analysis.
  12. Collaborate with external partners and vendors to acquire and analyze data.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve bioinformatics processes and workflows to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  14. Participate in departmental and institutional meetings and seminars to share knowledge and promote collaboration.
  15. Represent the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in national and international bioinformatics conferences and symposiums.

Job Qualifications
  • A Ph.d. In Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Bioinformatics Research, Preferably In A Clinical Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Proficiency In Programming Languages Such As Python, R, And Perl, As Well As Experience With Databases And Statistical Analysis.

  • Strong Understanding Of Genomics, Genetics, And Molecular Biology Principles.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Multidisciplinary Team Environment.
