
Bioinformatics Scientist
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is seeking an experienced Bioinformatics Scientist to join our team. We are looking for a passionate, highly motivated, and innovative individual to help us drive the use of bioinformatics principles and practices to advance research and clinical operations. Our ideal candidate will bring a powerful combination of technical and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong commitment to the mission of our hospital.The Bioinformatics Scientist will be responsible for developing and implementing bioinformatics strategies to support collaborative research and clinical operations. They will apply their expertise to interpret, analyze, and visualize data, and create predictive models to advance the understanding of biological phenomena. The successful candidate will work closely with researchers, clinicians, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are successful and efficient.The ideal candidate should have a Master’s degree or higher in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related field. They should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in bioinformatics, as well as a strong background in statistics and computational biology. They should also have experience with programming languages such as R, Python, or Java, and familiarity with machine learning techniques. The ideal candidate should be an excellent communicator, able to effectively collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, and have an enthusiasm for using bioinformatics to improve patient care.
Responsibilities:
