- Conduct audiology assessments and evaluations on pediatric patients, using a variety of assessment tools and techniques.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for patients based on assessment results and in collaboration with the audiologist.
- Administer and interpret diagnostic tests such as pure tone audiometry, immittance testing, and otoacoustic emissions.
- Provide hearing aid evaluations, fittings, and follow-up care for patients.
- Educate patients and their families on hearing loss, treatment options, and communication strategies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Attend departmental meetings and participate in continuing education opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Provide support and assistance to the audiology team as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following infection control and safety protocols.
- Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and professionalism in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Continuously evaluate and improve upon the quality of audiology services provided at the hospital.
- Represent the hospital and its values in a positive manner at all times.
- Uphold confidentiality and privacy of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities as needed.
- Adhere to ethical standards and principles of audiology practice.
- Demonstrate a commitment to providing the best possible care for pediatric patients.
- Maintain a professional and polished appearance at all times while representing the hospital.
Completed Or Currently Enrolled In An Accredited Doctor Of Audiology (Au.d.) Program.
Previous Experience Working With Pediatric Patients, Preferably In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting.
Knowledge Of Diagnostic Audiological Testing And Treatment Methods For Children, Including Behavioral And Objective Measures.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Multidisciplinary Team, With A Commitment To Providing High-Quality Patient Care.
