In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and compliant charging practices for our hospital services.   1. Utilize your strong understanding of healthcare billing and coding to review and analyze the Charge Description Master (CDM) to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  2. Collaborate with various departments, including finance, coding, and clinical staff, to identify and implement improvements to the CDM process.
  3. Conduct regular audits to identify any discrepancies or errors in the CDM and take necessary actions to resolve them.
  4. Stay up-to-date with healthcare regulations and guidelines to ensure the CDM is in compliance with industry standards.
  5. Develop and maintain training materials for staff on proper charging practices and updates to the CDM.
  6. Monitor and analyze charging trends to identify potential revenue opportunities and make recommendations for improvement.
  7. Work closely with the revenue cycle team to resolve any billing or coding issues related to the CDM.
  8. Provide timely and accurate reports on CDM updates, changes, and improvements to management.
  9. Serve as a subject matter expert on CDM processes and provide guidance and support to other team members as needed.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities to improve the CDM process and suggest innovative solutions to streamline operations and increase efficiency.
  11. Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively to meet deadlines and achieve departmental goals.
  12. Demonstrate a commitment to the hospital's mission of providing the best possible care for children and their families.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Finance, Or Related Field

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Charge Description Master (Cdm) Maintenance And Auditing

  • Knowledge Of Hospital Coding And Billing Regulations, Including Cms Guidelines And Ncci Edits

  • Proficiency In Microsoft Excel And Database Management

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With Attention To Detail And Accuracy.
